Unique Flow-Control Plug

Armstrong incorporates a unique and revolutionary flo-control plug into a "Y" pattern globe valve.  The flow is directed through multiple precision-contoured channels which distribute the flow uniformly and predictably within the valve.  This reduces wire draw, seat erosion, vibration, and wear on the valve stem packing.  The Armatron plug is an ultra-high strength engineered resin which is fine-tolerance molded onto the stem to ensure concentricity and repeatability.

Handwheel

Armstrong's unique handwheel is ergonomically designed for maximum operator comfort and fine-tuning control.  An adjustment range of multiple 360 degree turns provides leverage against water pressure and extraordinary precision in hydronic circuit balancing. Gradations on the micrometer-type position indicator are large and clear for easy viewing.  The handwheel and indicator can be located in any of six positions, making the indicator readable by simply repositioning the numbered scales.   Handwheel assembly is engineered for exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability. The valve has a positive memory feature.   It can be reopened to the exact balance set point after being closed in order to service equipment.  The memory is set without special tools and is tamper-proof because it is hidden by the handwheel.
